Use PhilaPort’s current embarkation page because terminal instructions evolved during the first season and the permanent facility opened in August 2026. Do not follow an early-season forum address or assume the pier is downtown.

Philadelphia makes sense for travelers who can avoid New York or Baltimore traffic and find the right Norwegian itinerary. It is not yet the East Coast choice with the widest line selection.

Baltimore: simplest for many Mid-Atlantic drivers

Cruise Maryland is beside Interstate 95 at 2001 East McComas Street, south of the Inner Harbor. The terminal’s strongest advantage is secured long-term parking within walking distance, with no advance reservation currently required.

There is no useful walkable sightseeing district at the terminal. Fly the day before, sleep near the airport or in a neighborhood you actually want to visit, then use a hotel shuttle only if it explicitly serves the JAXPORT cruise facility.

Port Canaveral: best for Orlando combinations

Port Canaveral serves Disney, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC, Norwegian, and other current operators across multiple terminals. It is the natural gateway for families combining a cruise with Orlando theme parks or the Space Coast.

Miami International Airport connects to the city by rail, but the final port segment still requires the free Coral Way trolley where practical, a taxi, rideshare, or cruise transfer. The trolley has several port stops rather than a guaranteed stop at every terminal door.

A downtown, Brickell, or airport hotel can each work for one night, depending arrival time and evening plans. Miami Beach adds a causeway transfer and is best chosen because you want the beach, not because it looks close on a map.
