Here you will enjoy lifeguards during the summer season to keep you safe, numerous changing facilities, and a tasty restaurant.
While there may be strong winds and ginormous waves, your furry friends will enjoy frolicking along the sandy shore found along the water’s edge.
As one of the most popular dog beaches in the USA, Surfside Beach is frequented by plenty of pet owners as it offers a wide beach with plenty of room for fun.
You will also find most dogs on leashes both on this beach and others around the island, which are all dog friendly.
The hours that dogs are allowed during the summer are between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., but in any other season, you can visit whenever you would like!

Make sure to leash up your pup when walking to and from the car, but once on the sand, you are free to let your pet loose!
Your furry friend will enjoy the freedom the enjoy the salty water and sandy shoreline by your side. After spending the day on the beach, make sure to rinse off and head over to one of the numerous delicious restaurants.

If you are planning your trip over Labor Day weekend, you can enjoy an annual dog festival found just south of Cannon Beach. Here you can show off your dog’s ball-catching skills or other notable talents!

You can also discover a private, fenced-in area of the beach which boasts separate areas for small and larger pups.
Here you will find showers and dog-level water fountains for your furry friends to enjoy. After, head over to the Dog Bar where you can enjoy a cold brew, and your pup can socialize with other furry playmates.
